I’ve written how eBay is a good place to get a pre-owned watch before. They include a free authentication service (free to you, the buyer anyway; I’m not sure what fees the seller pays). And since many of them are listings by individuals, the prices are often lower than you’ll get from the pre-owned dealers. Not every watch listed has the authenticity guarantee, so make sure you look for that badge, unless you’re comfortable buying from rando’s on eBay and authenticating yourself.
Right now, through 4/23 at midnight PDT, eBay is offering a 10% off coupon on timepieces (up to a $500 discount) with code LUXEWATCHES10. At the very least, it’s a good way to negate any sales tax you’ll pay and get a slight kicker. The minimum price it applies to is $2,000.
