Recommends—Cotton-Linen Trousers from Spier & Mackay

Probably my favorite summer trousers are ones made from cotton-linen blends. And as I’ve written before, Spier & Mackay makes my favorite-fitting trousers (YMMV of course), and they just introduced a range of colors in a cotton-linen blend fabric from Sondrio. I got a pair in off-white last spring, which they’ve brought back this season, in addition to a handful of other colors. Off-white is my top choice of course, followed by cream and probably light brown. The mid-brown looks good as well. There’s a pair in a denim fabric with a single reverse pleat and higher rise, but the rest are thankfully their normal rise (which higher than most makers these days, to be honest) with a flat front.

What I like about cotton-linen pants is that they’re machine washable and wear fairly cool like linen but the cotton keeps them from being super wrinkly like pure linen.
