OLD-Recommended Shops

Here are the shops I have bookmarked and shop at regularly. I've organized them by multi-brand retailers, single-label brands/makers, big-name stores and at the bottom, watch shops. Help support this site by buying through these links—I get a sales commission with some of them.

Also be sure to check out Nashville menswear shops and support local businesses!

The Multi-Brand Retailers

No Man Walks Alone

This shop carries some of the best and most interesting clothing from some difficult to find labels. They also carry an excellently curated selection of brands that cover the gamut from streetwear to high tailoring. A definite bookmark.

The Armoury

One of the best menswear stores in the world. I've visited the NYC location and just love their focus on craft, quality and style. Great and unique product line up from Orazio Luciano, Ring Jacket, niche footwear and more.

Michael Jondral

Based in Germany, Michael Jondral carries a range of high-end makers like Orazio Luciano, De Petrillo and Attolini.

Mr Porter

Mr Porter is the Amazon equivalent in the menswear space. Tons of well regarded brands in loads of categories, from low (J.Crew) to high (Tom Ford).

Cavour

Based in Oslo, Cavour carries a range of excellent brands—Cesare Attolini, Ring Jacket, Finamore—and also makes a great in-house line of tailoring, which I reviewed in 2022. Their free global shipping and return policy is also a major bonus.

Baltzar

Sweden-based retailer Baltzar exists mostly online, though they have two partner stores in Malmo, Sweden, and London. Nonetheless they carry some of the stalwart brands I like—Ring Jacket, 100 Hands, William Lockie, and more.

Sartoria di Lusso

Naples-based retailer which sells overstock luxury menswear at a discount. Brands include Isaia, Barba, De Petrillo and more. Don't miss my favorite under-the-radar shirtmaker Vincenzo di Ruggiero. Use code MITCHELL15 for 15% off your order.

End.

Another large curator of brands from all over the world, End has lots to offer just about anyone.

Bombinate

Menswear, accessories, even decor are here. They claim an emphasis on curation of companies using skilled artisans, not sweatshops. I’ve discovered cool new brands just from looking at their featured makers section before.

The Big Names

Ralph Lauren

Lots to love from Ralph, though the primary things I've gotten from him the last several years have been shoes and ties. That said, he's got some of the most killer outerwear, and his tailoring options can be great—less boring and better styling, generally, than Brooks Brothers.

eBay

I troll eBay almost every day. I have saved searches for all kinds of things. High-end suits and Italian label sport coats for instance.

Todd Snyder

A lot of what people think of when they think of the glory days of J.Crew was actually just what Todd Snyder did when he was their menswear creative director.

J.Crew

Not quite the powerhouse it once was, but I still love a lot of the ideas J.Crew puts out. Especially for someone at the beginning of building a wardrobe, it is an excellent place to get some solid menswear.

Brooks Brothers

Not nearly what it once was, but still a reliable source for decent OCBDs, chinos, ties and knitwear.

Grailed

Menswear resell site, good for niche collaborations or small brands that get lost on the one-size-fits-all resell sites like eBay.

The Single-Label Brands

Natalino

I love this shop’s consistent aesthetic, which vibes with my own so very well. Stylish but comfortable and meant for everyday. Made-in-Naples sport coats are the highlight for me.

Besnard

In the spirit of his grandfather's heritage as a master tailor, Victor Besnard is creating a brand of ready to wear menswear worthy of his name. I reviewed his denim shirts a few years ago, and am very keen to try out his tailored clothing soon.

Anglo-Italian

I love this store's entire premise, and their product delivers. Their aesthetic is fantastic, and their quality matches it.

Sid Mashburn

All-time friendliest guy in the industry, Sid's got charm to the moon and back, and his style is outstanding. If you bought your entire wardrobe head to toe from him, you'd be the most stylish guy in most rooms.

Spier & Mackay

This Canadian brand packs a lot of value in good-quality menswear. They are aiming to be a viable competitor to SuitSupply, with a similar-quality product, only for less money in most cases. I particularly love their trousers and custom shirts, and am always impressed with their fabric selections for the tailored Neapolitan jackets and suits.

Drake's

A venerable British institution, who got their name making excellent neckties, they've now expanded into a full menswear line up. And frankly, it's fantastic. You could be the best-dressed guy in any room if you simply wore head-to-toe Drake's.

Suit Supply

These guys make a good product at a great price point. What's cool, though, is they use pretty interesting fabrics in their tailoring, so you're not stuck with the same old boring grays and blues all the time.

Meermin Mallorca

A Spanish company that makes leather shoes with full-grain leather and Goodyear welts (the two big features you should be looking for, at the minimum, in your shoes) at affordable prices in lots of stylish options. Sure, the shoes might have blemishes and their awful customer service is notorious for refusing to admit they're at fault when the shoes have defects, but you get what you pay for—and if the pair you end up with is good, score!

Proper Cloth

These guys do great online made-to-measure shirts. Two of my most-worn, favorite shirts are from there. I prefer the Soft Roma Cutaway and Soft Ivy Button-Down collars for most everything, with Soft Roma Spread for shirts I know I'll only ever wear with a tie. Check out my guide for getting the most out of your purchase, then use the above link and code MUSINGS10 to get 10% off your first order.

Dapper Woodworks

A small business run by one guy, if you need a great solution for storing your ties, these are incredible. The fit and finish is incredible, and the options are great. Read my review, then use code MM10 for 10% off your order.

Beckett Simonon

A shoe company that uses a made to order business model, which they say lets them reduce pricing. They gave me a pair of shoes and they're hands down one of my favorites. USE CODE MM20 for 20% off your first purchase.
