I’ve been slacking on the what I wore roundups! The last one I did was for the week ending April 13. So, in order to catch back up, here are all the fits I took photos of and posted on Instagram but haven’t gotten around to posting here.

These new Beckett Simonon Durant Adelaides became my favorite shoes very quickly. But, since they’re so dressy, they don’t fit into my typical dressed-down daily style. So I put on a tie sometimes and dressier wool trousers just so I can wear them. I’m not sure it worked out super well as worn—with my washed denim Proper Cloth shirt and brown cotton knit tie, it felt incongruous. Party up top, business below.

I got these “copper” chinos from Spier & Mackay a few months ago. I’m not crazy about the fit, but they’re a beautiful color. Kind of a wintry palette with this fit.

Once the temperature rises, I start preferring these light wash jeans (despite their low rise and slightly too long length). But they’re a pretty good slim-straight cut, and I like them with my sport coats to dress them down a bit.

I found the perfect golden hour sunlight in my backyard. I liked going with a lighter palette here—the light wash denim and my beige jacket with my stripe Eidos airtex shirt all complement each other beautifully. I brought in a little darker contrast with the Tammis Keefe pocket square.

Years ago I wore suede desert boots all the time. Once they wore out, I never replaced them. Lately, Drake’s has been making a mighty strong case for wearing them with tailoring, even suits (albeit casual ones in cotton, linen and the like).
