A new, small collection of samples from Saint Gregory Tailors in Naples has landed in time for warmer spring weather.
Cut in medium or lightweight cloth, they feature all the hallmarks of the hand make that goes into their tailoring for bespoke clients, made in standard sizes as samples and models to display in their workshop, at trunk shows and at trade shows.
The showstopper is this black cashmere double breasted 4×1 jacket in size 48 (38R). With a beautiful double windowpane—blue inset inside of white—it’s not so much the classic sartorial choice as it is the killer piece you wear for a stylish night out.
However we also have some basic staples on display as well: two navy blazers (one in a medium shade of navy in size 52 (42R), the other in a darker shade in size 54(44R)), both made up in all-season-weight twill wool from Drago. And a pair of flat-front light gray trousers (with beautiful hand-stitched pick stitching on the outer leg), size 48 (32 US).
Lastly is a suit made in a lightweight gray plaid Loro Piana fabric, size 48 (38R). It’s a subtle upgrade over a run of the mill gray check suit in a buttery soft LP cloth.
