There are two shoe brands I am most enamored of, both making pairs that consist of my most-worn shoes: TLB Mallorca (whose Artista penny loafer is possibly my most comfortable dress shoe in my whole life) and Myrqvist (whose suede chukka I wore hiking in the Dolomites and in the Maremma region of Italy day after day last fall).
The latter, Myrqvist, has put a handful of their shoes on sale.
Among the sale, there are a handful of styles I’d definitely recommend and see myself wearing most.
First, a note on sizing—follow the size chart. I find that Myrqvist’s shoes run a bit small, meaning that in comparison to the size I take in many other European brands, I size up in Myrqvist. To be specific, I am a US size 11D through and through. In Myrqvist, that means I’m 44.5. Their size 44, which is often the Euro equivalent to US11 on generic size charts, shows on their size chart as being the equivalent to US10.5—and it’s too small for me. So the end result is: follow their size chart.

On to my top 3 picks:
Dark Brown Suede Penny Loafer—Stenhammer

As I said above, my most worn pairs of shoes are chukka boots and penny loafers in dark brown suede—and while my loafers are TLB Mallorca, I wouldn’t hesitate to get a pair of these from Myrqvist if that slot in my wardrobe weren’t filled… especially at 25% off.
Medium brown suede tie loafer—Faro

Tie loafers are the little sister to the more well known tassel loafer (though they have those, on sale, too). They feel even more casual, maybe a little less uppity, and a lot less floppy while walking.

When it comes to sneakers, I’ve come to appreciate the GAT-style more than the minimalist style you normally see. It’s more interesting visually and I personally feel if you’re going to wear a sneaker, it should look a little sporty. I like that there’s just a hint of gum sole on these at the bottom.
