I’d buy the 50mm f/1.4 to go with it if I started from scratch

A rare non-menswear recommendation, but $300 off is a great deal ($70 off the lens is a good deal too). My wife, who is a professional photographer, bought it for her business 3 years ago, and so it’s the camera I use for my what-are-you-wearing-today photos. It’s so good in terms of image quality and performance that it’s the first digital SLR (of which I have used many and owned several) I could see myself using for another decade without worrying about upgrading.
